Fulham is an English football club that located in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. Fans also call it "The Cottagers" or "The Whites". It was founded in 1879 by worshippers at the C of E church on Star Road as Fulham St Andrew's Church Sunday School. It is the oldest professional football team in London. In 2004 they celebrated their 125th anniversary. They currently play in the top tier of English football. The chairman of the club is Mohamed Abdel Moneim Fayed.He is an Egyptian businessman and billionaire and the owner of Harrods department store in Knightsbridge. The current manager is Lawrence Philip Sanchez. He is a former player, who played for such clubs as: Reading (1978–1984), Wimbledon (1984–1993), Swindon Town (1993–1994), Sligo Rovers (1994–1995). The first football ground of the team was Star Road. The present stadium is Craven Cottage that based in the Hammersmith and Fulham. It is a home ground of Fulham F.C. since 1896 and has a capacity of 26,600 all seated. The record of all seated attendance was on 5th May 2007 when 24,554 people watched a game against Liverpool. The club has an Academy. It is headed by John Murtough. The Fulham Academy helps young players to gain a BTEC and NVQ qualification and have a successful career like such players as: Sean Davis (Portsmouth), Liam Fontaine (Bristol City), Adam Green (Grays), Elvis Hammond (Leicester), Zat Knight (Aston Villa), Dean Leacock (Derby), Zeshan Rehman (QPR). Due to the well-qualified managers, players and hard work, Fulham spent much time in the First Division. They defeated Bologna 5-3 and won the Intertoto Cup in 2002. Now the club play in the Premier League. Fulham club has such honors as:
